Karen has had many one-woman and juried shows where she received awards in watercolors, oils, pastels and photography. Subjects include landscapes, seascapes, architectural, nature and wildlife. Her favorite subject is animals and she has been involved in rescue organizations for many years donating art and graphic design.

She exhibited in the Bar Harbor Gallery in Massapequa, L.I., NY and her paintings are in collections throughout the U.S., the Virgin Islands and in South Africa.

Her professional memberships include the Suburban Art League and the Art League of Nassau County, the Broward Art Guild, the Artist’s Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Delray Art League.

She became interested in commercial art and studied Advertising Art and Design at SUNY before moving to Florida in 1992. She studied at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale while doing freelance work and Fine Art Shows.

After becoming Art Director for Aurafin, the largest karat gold jewelry manufacturer in the world where she spent 10 years honing her skills in graphic design and photo retouching she decided to work as a consultant and devote more time to painting.
